Safety Trainer

Job-Location: Leander

Location: 9250 FM 2243, Leander, TX 78641

 

Pay: Based on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (additional hours and occasional Saturdays as needed)

 

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Trainer to lead safety training efforts and ensure our team remains compliant with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations. This role plays a vital part in promoting a safe workplace by educating employees on hazard recognition, risk avoidance, and safe practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Development

  • Facilitate and deliver structured training sessions on a variety of safety topics including New Hire Orientation, Forklift Operation, Flagger Certification, and First Aid/CPR.
  • Maintain and update training materials in accordance with regulatory changes and company policies.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to reinforce safe practices and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Track training completion and maintain accurate training schedules and records.

Additional Duties

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support field operations as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Safety with administrative and operational safety tasks.
  • Scan and submit weekly training-related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on company safety regulations and state laws.
  • Utilize adult learning principles to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel and support multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with adult training methods and safety compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
